Nustime started as a weekend experiment to explore Xcode, Electron, and Tauri. With over 95% of its code generated by ChatGPT, this was a journey in building a functional app as someone with no programming background. Nustime serves as a testament to the immense potential of AI-powered development.
The app helps you calculate remaining work hours during the day or week, enhancing productivity. It features focus timers with automatic breaks, gentle reminders to maintain concentration, and a simple menu-bar interface that stays out of your way.
Nustime also tracks time zones in a clean dial layout, making it easy to see multiple time zones at once. You can set default working hours, let the app calculate remaining time in real-time, and get notifications when your focus sessions end.
What made this project special was discovering that pairing product intuition with AI coding tools can drastically shorten the path from idea to working software. Building Nustime proved that even without traditional coding skills, you can bring an idea to life.
